To build a home and hospice requires a team of individuals willing to provide household items, clothing and financial support. It will take approximately $250,000 per year to successfully medicate, clothe, house, educate and care for the Walking With Children House and its 20 children.
Fortunately, there have been many wonderful individuals who have supported Walking With Children from the beginning.
Mission Work Team Program
Mission work teams who come to Honduras do so to give of their time and talents, pitching in where needed. Projects include, but are certainly not limited to: painting, gardening, cleaning and general home repair. Some teams partner with local Honduran medical professionals to provide medical services in the area.
It is guaranteed to be a life-changing experience and a whole lot of fun!
If you are interested in coming to Honduras to see what we're up to, do some work, have some fun and be an integral part of our endeavor -- we would love to be your host!
Volunteer Program
Starting in of March, 2007 we will be needing a long term volunteer that can serve for a minimum of 6 months. This person must be independent with the Spanish language, be able to manage themselves independently in a foreign country and be willing to assist in the 24 hour care of our children. Those who would like to apply should contact Chris Frederick at: cfrederick@walkingwithchildren.org

Based on her presentation, they sent this very generous donation. Thank you Michelle for the sacrifice.
