Home Is Where the Heart Is

The cornerstone of Walking With Children is our four-story home in the Honduran capital of Tegucigalpa. This facility serves as our project base, allowing us to provide proper nutrition, shelter, education and on-site medical care in an atmosphere of unconditional acceptance and love.

Walking With Children provides a variety of critical services to care for these individuals as children, as patients and as family, including:

• Shelter
• Nutritional menu
• 24-hour on-site medical care
• Access to public and private hospitals
• Possible access to anti-retroviral medication
• Access to public and private education (i.e. kindergarten)
• Support for spiritual and emotional development
• Transportation
• And so much more!

RESIDENT UPDATE: Miguel

October 2007 Update :
In early November, Miguel will be finishing a six month program with "Teen Challenge" here in Honduras.  He has learned some amazing life skills that will serve him well into the future.  In February, 2008 he will be continuing his studies at a local high school. His health is doing very well and his virus remains inactive while on his current therapy.  Please keep Miguel in your prayers.  Learn more [link]
